Ding dong the witch is dead.
EPA Chief Scott Pruitt is stepping down.
This does not mean an end to the anti-environmental policies and actions. The established trajectory is expected to continue. Especially given that Pruitt’s replacement, Andrew Wheeler, is a seasoned coal lobbyist and effective policy maker.
Pruitt ultimately complained of unfair and unrelenting personal attacks. Good. Pruitt now knows how the Earth (and it’s inhabitants) feel. But the true cause of the resignation were a series of ethics scandals. Perhaps Pruitt is indirectly complaining that morality and an ethical code exist?
The swamp does smell a little more pleasant today.
